Jon Lebano born on September 16, 1968, was called to eternal life on Friday, April 28, 2023 after a 33 month courageous journey of living with brain cancer. Jon passed away peacefully and comfortably surrounded by the love of his life and wife of 25 years, Heather and his treasured children Sophia, Ian, Olivia and Isabelle, and their two pups, Bonnie and Clyde.Â
Always a man of deep faith and compassion, His smile was contagious, his witty personality a treasure, and his positive personality a gift to many.Â
Jon’s greatest legacy is that of devoted husband and father. Jon and Heather met in 1989 working together in the hospitality business where they began their relationship, then married 7 years later after supporting one another through completing college degrees. They were then blessed with four beautiful children, who were the light of Jon’s life. Jon always welcomed others, inviting them to break bread at their table, and find joy in their home.Â
Jon’s great faith and trust in God’s will enabled him to embrace the cross—aggressive, terminal brain cancer, a stroke and other medical challenges.—he was asked to carry.  Accepting his diagnosis with grace, Jon never once complained about the journey he was asked to walk. His was such a positive attitude, knowing that he had the purpose of bringing others to prayer and closer to God.
Jon never gave up, and is now enjoying the reward of eternal life with his God. His legacy of hope, faith, love and family will continue to inspire others.
It is our goal to continue to spread Jon’s joy and spirit in some of our family’s favorite places. We look forward to sharing more soon about The 428 Project and all the ways we plan to honor Jon and keep his memory alive ..
Please pray for our vision as a few dreams our family has held close begin to come together to give back for the Glory of God and in the memory of our husband and dad, Jon.
